[ GENERAL EMERGENCY SERVICES RATING ]
How do I earn my General Emergency Services Rating? Just follow these steps to receive your certification.
STEP 1
To receive a General Emergency Services Rating, you must be a current member in good standing. Senior Members must have completed their Level 1 Professional Development Training and Cadets must have completed Achievement 1 of the Cadet Program. Of course, you must also have completed your Operational Security Awareness Training.
STEP 2
Take the CAPT 116 Exam here. A PowerPoint presentation covering the test material that can be found here. If you don't have PowerPoint and need to view the presentation, a free viewer from Microsoft can be downloaded here. After you complete the online exam, print your course completion certificate and turn it in to your immediate supervisor.
STEP 3
The Squadron will certify your training and process your new certification. It is that simple.
This is the first step toward your advanced Emergency Services Training, where you will specialize in a variety of operational duties, such as Ground Team, Urban Direction Finding Team, Mission Base, Communications, etc. See your supervisor or the Squadron's Emergency Services Staff for information on advanced training.
